Optimation engineers are skilled in the configuration of tracking systems using bar code and RFID technologies. These systems are generally integrated with database environments including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access and Oracle, along with integration with plant floor control and SCADA systems, as well as web-based systems. We have integrated to existing systems, as well as worked with customers to define requirements and then created new systems to meet their needs.
Example RFID and Bar Code Projects:
- Dial-a-Batch project including 4 ControlLogix PLC’s to run 4 systems by one operator. Custom Batch engine developed by Optimation Technology implemented as a corporate standard. Complete bar code verification using ControlLogix, RSView, VB.Net, and RS-SQL.
- Developed a ten-station automatic barcode reading and labeling system to monitor manufacturing and test status of refrigeration compressors. System required PLC and OIU Programming, development of original device drivers and analysis and reporting software developed with C/C++.
- Developed RFID system for tracking cartons / palettes for apple packing plant to Walmart standards
- Developed RFID system for tracking car axles throughout production
